Sprayed Concrete & Tiled Pools
Despite the growing demand for Cascade liner pools, there remains a traditional market for concrete swimming pools. As a professional retail swimming pool company, Chiswell Pools continues to serve this market, and to ensure that clients are offered a choice of quality products, we install the sprayed concrete method of concrete pool construction.
This simply means that a pre-mixed wet solution of sand and cement is shot from a nozzle or gun, through a fine spray of water to dampen the mixture, over a grid of steel reinforcing rods. This creates a monolithic shell without seams or joints.
This shell is then finished with mosaic tiles. The biggest advantage of this construction is there is no limit to the shapes that can be created, and it has that traditional aesthetic finish that some clients do prefer.
